NBM Site Closure

Dear Members,

Just wanted to let everyone know that a decision was made to close the NavyBoardModels website this past week. However, most if not all the content will be re-posted on the ModelShipBuilder website in the upcoming months.

The first restorations planned are:

1. The MSB Journal and Warships to Workboats publications.

2. The Harold M. Hahn, ship modeling plans page where people can purchase some of these classic plans.

If there are any special areas you would like to see sooner or later that you can remember let me know and I'll add them to our priority list.

Really, it's only kind of a partial shut down. We're just going to port the information (most of which came from the MSB site to begin with) back to the MSB site and then add to it. It will just take a few months to get back to that point. Might be some minimal loss, but nothing important will be lost. A lot of it is in PDF format so we have most of that backed up on external drives, just need to re-sort it.

Well, when you like working on websites as much as you do on models its not hard to do. Sit down for a few minutes work and the next thing you know three or four hours have gone by and you wonder what you did. Just need a nice hot brew to build up the energy and away you go again!
