Hello all!
I’m a 64 year old/young man that has tinkered a bit with wood working and model airplane building throughout my life but I have never built a ship model.
About 30 years ago I visited a picture framing shop in my home town and right besides the door was a unbuilt wooden ship kit that the store owner wanted to sell. He had bought it quite a long time before that and was unsure that all the parts were there or not.
Anyhow I ended up buying the kit for a modest amount and it has just been sitting on a shelf in my home since then,
But yesterday I finally opened the box and went through the content and I can say for certain that it is indeed missing some parts. None of the metal parts that were supposed to be included are there, missing is also a number of ribs (at least that is what I think they are called).
Guess I could try to assemble what I have and from that try to reconstruct the missing parts
The model is made in West Germany by Steingraeber and is called the Satanis.
Cheers from the Artics, -22 C is forecasted for tomorrow so I guess it will be a good day to spend on the kit
