Since I specified all vinyl flooring to accomodate my handicpped son the rubber mats are a must. The room has an east-west orientation. I plan to use LED moveable/adjustable daylight grade lamps. They're good for my eyes. I have a pile of 1960s/70s cds and a bose for the place. My boy loves Beach Boys.

Your workbench looks a bit like one of mine. The main difference is that there are wooden vices, including wooden screws for the vices. It was my grandfather's who was a cabinet maker his entire working life, and the bench is now 105 years old as he bought it the year my dad was born. The difficult part is going to be in finding out which of our two boys will get it when the time comes.

I have some small pieces from my grandpa which I will include in my new shop. He was born 1895.
