Good day to all,

I am captain on chemical tanker and in my free time at home I start to build ship models.
I am new in wood working as b4 I used to build only plastic models.
I am excited to learn some new things and techniques to be successful in ship model world.

Affranchise, welcome to SoS. When I sailed as a cadet I had a captain that built ship models (and got me interested in wooden models) and while on board he built a lot of the small things such as rudders, capstans, anchors, etc. He used the machines in our shop and had his hand tools in his cabin and did beautiful work in his free time on board. It was a fun way to pass free time and make progress while away from the models at home.
