Although relatively new to model shipbuilding, I've been a model builder since I was a kid (mostly model railroading).

Thanks, Dave. No, hadn't really looked into that, but I know there is a popular trend toward combining model RR and maritime modeling, especially in On30 scale. My model RR was HO scale based on logging and sawmill operations. I no longer have room for a layout, but I still build a few individual RR models.
