I was fortunate to see the Amerigo Vespucci in Portsmouth UK some time ago so when I saw this kit I thought I had to give it a go even though it is a bit of a step up for me.
I’m now about 6 weeks into the build and I’m building it alongside finishing off the rigging on the Mayflower.
I only intent to update this build every now and again so we will see how it goes.

Finished the 1st layer of planking today and checking the prop and rudder fit ok, now for a few days of sanding I’m hoping not to use to much filler on the hull but want it as smooth as I can get it obviously.
I haven’t made a ship with a 2nd layer of planking before so I’m still giving it a bit of thought on the glue to use as I’m not too happy with using contact adhesive as per instructions.
