This is the first I have brought new and and one that I have never tried in wood so its either going to be a quick build or knowing me I will probably take ages but here's what I got in the box.
I forgot to put in the title that's its a scale of 1/85

I am a great fan of the Golden Hind so I am also pulling a chair to enjoy watching your build.

This was the first model I made when I resurrected my teenage hobby a couple of years ago. I had not discovered S O S then so I did not create a build log. It is good to see yours: the images of the early stages bring back memories. As for as I can recall the OcCre kit posed no major problems but I think I got the angle of the fore peak deck slightly wrong which created some of my own making. Enjoy! I did - and I haven't stopped modelling since.

On with the build I have finished decks and added the upper side prices and started the planking I am not too fussy as it's double planked.

I have finished the first layer of planking the instructions say leave the pins in but I will remove them as it will make sanding easier..

There's a full size replica of the Golden Hind. I visited it when it docked in Charleston. I hope you get a chance to go aboard sometime.
