Painting the Lutzow (Italeri 1/720)

Good day fellow modellers,

Looking at the attached picture - the black band ( apologies to the veterans, being new to ship building, I do not know the technical name , but I know that there is one.... ;)) between the grey and the hull red - what would the width in mm's be? The model is in 1/720 scale.

That's the boot stripe. Search online for its width and scale it down by 720. At that scale its going to be thin. Is the model waterline ? if so it wont even be visible.

What would the actual stripe width be? Scale it to your 1/720...
