So very neat and tidy. The ship and surroundings.
Thank you very much for your question, but based on my current knowledge, I'm unable to provide a definitive answer. Due to certain practical limitations, I was unable to conduct thorough research on this aspect. Therefore, the construction of this section was based on references from the books The Statenjacht Utrecht 1746 and Scratch Building the Yacht UTRECHT , which contain drawings and photographs of the section you inquired about. The build continues to be very nicely done! One question for you and your build followers: When, if ever, did the Dutch switch to metal stoves rather than brick? The English changed to iron stoves and it became fairly common place by 1757 but did the Dutch make the change at some point as well?
Thanks
Allan
It is great to see that you had multiple sources of information and used them so well. Therefore, the construction of this section was based on references from the books The Statenjacht Utrecht 1746 and Scratch Building the Yacht UTRECHT

I quote... an incredible job so far!Arban, you have the nicest little tools and impossibly clean work area I’ve ever seen! And your Pegasus is amazing!
Regrettably, this wasn't carved by me. I only refined it with carving knives. This is a set of CNC-pre-carved pieces made from pear wood! The carvings are exceptional. As the fourth photo show chisels, were all the carvings done with chisels or did you use burrs as well? Your carvings are better than most CNC carvings!
What kind of wood was used for the carvings?
Thanks Arban,
Allan
