Ideally I would like a pair of Micro-Mark pin push pliers which cunningly grip the shank of a pin at points below the head. Unfortunately these are only available in the UK as a US import with a high price tag and a long delivery time. Sorry, Donald: No Can Do. There are many cheaper pin grip pliers available here but they seem to be mainly designed for extracting, rather than inserting pins So: a bodge. I took a pair of cheap, ordinary pliers (rubbish steel) and drilled a couple of holes through the joint of the jaws. These accommodate the head of a pin while the jaws grip the shank. This seems to be reasonably effective - and very cheap.
