hello thee
does anyone know how to use the plank crimping tool for very tight turns, I seem to be messing up some where, does the plank need to be wet as well like when using the iron and do I use the wedge side of the blade or the rounded side thank you

the tighter the turn the closer the crimps need to be set.
I don't fully understand your question about what side to use, but the crimping tools I know have a "flat" side on one of the arms, a kinde of "blade" on the other arm... so you make a little "cut" on the inside of the turn you want ... the closer the cuts, the more the turn.
Wettening the wood helps if the wood likes to splinter easy ... depands on the wood you use, just try it, wettening won't hurt at least ;)

Be careful where on the crimp blade you use, make sure the tool is tight or it may cut.
I always wet the planks for tight turns, makes it much easier.
