With regards to a large ship model like Victory, you would be better placed to double plank, even if you are fully painting the model.
Hello, Xray, and welcome aboard SOS. A few things I would love to mention. You posted your question in the introduction forum. We advise starting your own build log so you can post questions like this. Hence, the log doesn't have to be from the beginning. Also, not sure I personally understand your question. Do you mean should you double-plank as per Instruction? If it is, I would have many questions for you, before suggesting.
