Starting a 1/4 sccale scratch plank on bulkhead wood model of a former family owned 87' wooden freight boat. Any shots or advice regarding planking the stern area of a semi round stern would be helpful. Thank you.

Some model builders carve the stern shape out of balsa, then lay thin planking over it.

The stern looks very similar to the nauticurso model Artur. There is a good video somewhere on the build of that model. Good luck

Also, I forgot to mention that the pictures are of the vessel C.A. Christy and then Ellen W that was previously owned and operated by my father. There are no records prior to 1947 and uscg documention states she was of foreign build, unknown. If anyone may have any information regarding this vessel or similar design and location, please post a reply. Thank you. Alfred Ailsworth
