I am looking for plans that may be close to an 83' x 23' x 7'8" wooden vessel, possibly a former Canadian built vessel that entered US documentation in 1949, but stated as 'foreign built.'
I have photos of this vessel when she was used as a grain freight boat on the Chesapeake Bay during the 1950's and 60's named the Ellen W.
Her lines are very similar to a Nova Scotia schooner so any similar plans or drawings would be helpful. Thank you.

can you show us some of these photos, so we understand better what you are looking for?

Found these on the internet.
Is this ship Jila? Anything I could find on Nova Scotia schooners are all sail vessels rather than MV or SS. Did you contact Halcyon for information?

I do not think, that this is the correct vessel. It was build in 1974 and has a steel hull (I guess)

Note that many schooners were converted into power vessels or unpowered barges largely in the first half of the 20th century.

Howard Chapelle has a chapter on Nova Scotia tern schooners in his book "American Sailing Craft." He includes drawings of 4 vessels ranging from 117 to 138 feet long built between 1916 and 1919.

Fair winds!
