Thanks for putting this extensive build thread online, I have just received my order, I got the Final Edition version from Pocher, and from the write up you have done, plus the excellent bolts, decals and dvd from Paul Koo, I think I can make quite a good attempt at mine

I'm delighted that my build log is an inspiration to you. Glad you have a Final Edition! Maybe you can be persuaded to also make a build log of your build? I'm curious as to how much the FE differs.

Hi Peter, I haven’t been following the forum for some time now, I thought that I’d have a quick look again and the first item I saw was your Ducati. I’m sorry now that I missed your progress as I was also building the same model after I was inspired by your early logs. I must say that whilst mine went pretty well it never came close to the detail of yours so well done on a superb job, unlikely to be equalled by many a modeller.
I hope that you don’t mind but I’ve attached a picture of my finished build.
I got a bit disheartened with my Ajax and put it in the attic and there it remains, some day maybe I’ll finish it.
I have been busy with different types of models but have not posted for a long time, but I got an Occre 231 Pacific Train for Xmas and I’ve decided if there’s an interest I’ll start a log soon.

Hi Ken. Indeed a long time ago we were in contact. Nice to see you Duc outside on the street. It looks great. Please start the magnificent engine!
When the weather becomes better and my photo-friend has time, I have plans to make also outside pictures. Together with my K1. In front of my house we set them together in perspective, that they look the same size. But then we gave to close the street for a while.
I am looking forward to the build of that train. I made a metal one from Model-Space. I transferred the Japanese black-white one into German black-red.
Hopefully you get energy for your Ajax. Between the 2 periods of building my Lee where also many many years.
Ps:
My Admiral is collecting energy to use the yarn from your Admiral. Last month see found another old color and can go on.

Lord knows how much your project cost; personally I'd invest in real hardware which, if done wisely, would increase in value.
Any finished kit instantly devalues considerably. But your hobby activity provides you with pleasure.
This last weekend I was introduced to a collector of genuine, historic GP bikes.
Generously he presented me with these parts from one of his MV Agusta 500 triples; the result of too much use of the right wrist.
A genuine relic of an iconic GP racer; now someones very expensive hobby.
It's my job to find a way to suitably display these remains.
One man's junk...another man's treasure.
Lord knows how much your project cost; personally I'd invest in real hardware which, if done wisely, would increase in value.

Good old MV Agusta times with Agostini and Read. I think the piston was not the only damage?

There's a good chance I saw Ago riding it in anger back then.
There's a small bunch of workshops to turn to when this sort of thing happens.
No original factory parts available.....only a handful were ever built.
Fortunately the cottage industry keeps these machines running.
Indeed complete accurate replicas are now made.....if you have hundreds of thousands £ to spend.
My new friend has two triples and a four. What a privi

Which version do you have? The Final Edition?

final edition. Got it for $750 shipped from model expo.2 days later the kit went back up to 1299.00
the one thing I want to do is install the photoetched radiator grill from autograph so I'm trying my best to see if they'll sell me just that plate. The radiators are rather boring on this kit. I'm guessing people are using bare metal foil for hose clamps or maybe use tiny zip ties painted in silver.
