Polycrylic finish/ Danish Oil

A couple of questions regarding polycrylic finish:

If you are going to use tung oil or Danish oil (to darken the wood and bring out the grain) can you apply polycrylic finish first or would it prevent the oil from soaking in ?

Can putting polycrylic on before painting help the paint to go on better?

Whats the difference between polycrylic and matte varnish?

I use wipe on Poly in matte finish on most parts as I assemble a model. I can easily apply acrylic paints over the dried wipe on Poly...

You cannot use Tung Oil in combination with any other finishes.
