Railings?

Hope this is the right spot to post this.

Quick question for everyone… Is there a name for the railings between decks or are they just called railings?

I think everyone just calls them railings. I know, it's hard to believe there isn't some unusual maritime term for them. However, the railing that runs around the stern of the ship, on the poop deck, is called the taffrail. The railings along the sides of the ship are called the gunwales, because you could mount swivel guns on them.

Thanks. So I’m assuming one of the circled ones would be a gunwale since it’s on the side (of the foredeck), correct?
