Recommendations for planking?

I'm having a hard time getting started with planking. Working on a model of the Rattlesnake and I'm looking for a "good" (color and abundant photos) reference for planking the hull and deck. Any recommendations for either a book or DVD that would help?

we have a couple topics on how to plank a hull on the forum plus an article on Harold Hahns Rattlesnake and other rattlesnake build logs

One idea that I have used is to get good boxwood strips for the planking and then consider several options: one is to apply a coat of matte polyurethane which will ever so slightly highlight the grain and color of the boxwood but it will remain a nice light tone. Second is to consider a stain of your choice. For example a light oak stain will darken the boxwood slightly also highlighting the grain and the tone. Or you can use a dark oak stain which will enrich the boxwood. Consider a light tone for the deck planking and a darker tone for the hull planking. Ideas that I have found helpful for my modeling.
