REDOUTABLE 1805 - New model by Artesania Latina

Always nice to see a French ship especially a 74, and it looks to be a beautiful model, also love to see the printed manuals start to come back. If this were in 1:72 or 1:64 scale I would be all over this model. But I completely understand the 1:84 scale as you are doing all the Trafalgar ships in that scale and some of those are HUGE.

Finally, a "French Trafalgar." We Spaniards were left on our own, taking the full brunt of the cannon fire from Nelson and Collingwood.
Jokes aside, I think this is a great move by AL. The model looks very good.
Artesania Latina already has several French ships in its catalog, some of them iconic. What was missing was a ship of the line of the type that took part in that famous battle.

Salut Beer Beer

This is a lovely model and a refreshing change. Finally an alternative to Mantua’s very dated Superbe kit. I never understood why French 74’s are so under represented in kit form given their popularity with scratch builders.
Please stop bringing kits out I would like to buy This is not helping my stash situationROTF:rolleyes:

A couple of days ago watched the video -posted a comment on youtube. And they responded to a question that so many of us
deal with - kindly see below.

Superb!!! will you also do step-by-step build videos?
Your Victory is also an amazing kit (both versions actually) When I look at your Santisima from three or so years ago, then your Victory and now this one - such excellent quality detail improvements in your commercially produced kits. I sense that you've possibly incorporated 3D printing - possibly in the figurehead. and guns?
If I might; blocks (not deadeyes) are still a concern for many of us in this hobby - We tend to have to purchase these separately adding to the cost of products such as yours.. Nonetheless excellent work from your design teams!!!!

Hi friend! Thank you for your kind words. Yes, you'll have available video building instriuctions from A to Z. Yes, we've incorporated 3D printing to our models; many details and decorations in this new model are 3D printed, but not the guns, those remain injected in metal. We're working in an unboxing video to show the contents with full detail.
Regarding blocks and being honest, we've been trying different solutions to improve their quality in our kits but we haven't yet found a payable solution that means a real step forward in quality. We keep working on it. Best regards!
