Next Saturday, the 11th May 2019, some members of the german Association "Arbeitskreis Historischer Schiffbau e.V." and of the german forum "Segelschiffsmodellbau" will meet for one day, in order to talk, show, look and chat.
We expect appr. 20 modelers coming together with their models.

I am very happy to see there once more some friends, which also participated last October at the Convention in Rochefort

but also some other very interesting modelers.

I guess, that also some of our SOS-members from Germany will be there.

I will arrive already Friday afternoon evening and will stay until Sunday, so if somebody is interested, maybe we can meet for a beer (or two)

So stay tuned .... I will report afterwards and show some of the models

After 7 hours car driving I arrived at the hotel in Hattersheim near Frankfurt.
Tomorrow starting at 11 am is the happening........several interesting models to see and nice people to talk to

Just came home from my Trip to Frankfurt - made a lot of photos of models of appr. 25 modelers.
I Hope to post them in the next days - I also met some of our SOS members - It was great to see you all

Many thanks for your kind words, Karl, I feel honored to read these words made by such a good modeler like you.
But I am trying to learn as much as possible

See me here looking at details of the amazing model from Frank, it is a 1:75 model of the HMS Royal William

The super-bashed HMS Victory (plastic) model based on the Heller-kit in scale 1:100 under construction by Daniel (called dafi)
and some colour-schemas and pattern testing etc.
PS: This model was the only plastic model at the International convention in Rocheford last October

to continue.....

Here the wonderful built model of the 6th rate 20-gun HMS Sphynx built by Alexander Matvijets (this model was also in Rochefort) in scale 1:48.
BTW: Alexander is not only an amazing accurate modeler, he made also the drawings of this vessel by himself....in some time I will be able to present you all his different drawing sets he produced until now - very good quality
