I am building the Druid POF ship and I am in the middle of finishing up the standing rigging. the question I have is!! the rigging line I am using is from the kit the [problem Iam having is keeping tension on the ropes. when I install the standing rigging I use a weight of tweezers to maintain the tension on all ropes to ensure the tension is equal across all rigging lines. but on this model I have to keep adjusting the lines as they seem to stretch, every morning when I go out to the workshop well there you go another line is limp not much but enough to have to reset. I can only adjust a rigging line so many times. the process I use has always worked on my other kits I am stumped??
Does anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on what might be going on? Is the quality of the line causing the problem? am I doing something incorrectly? my knots used to hold the ropes to the masts I have used for ever and I always use a drop of glue to hold the knot from sliding I just don't know

If the rigging yarn contains polyamide PA (nylon), this could be the reason because PA expands much more when exposed to heat or under tension compared with polyester (PES) or polypropylene(PP) etc. While burning of a small piece of this yarn smells like a wool, then it definitely contains PA and I would not use it for the standing rig.
