Royal Clipper

This cruise ship for about 220 passengers is one the Star Clipper fleet. The model is approx. 130 cm long and was built from photos, brochures with no plans. My first scratch model, really enjoyable to make!

Thanks for your nice comment, if you mean the blue design work I just used fine masking tape and hand brushed it. The website of Star Clippers is very interesting. Paul

Hi Jim
Gave you the most stupid reply to the most sensible question! Whilst living in the Canary Islands saw a wonderful documentary how they converted a Russia ship to Royal Clipper. Thought had enough of building ships from kits so went ahead planning how to build it from scratch, downloaded deck and sail plans from the brochure, found the best photos I could and visited the ship in a Spanish port just to check out the hull. Had all downloads printed enlarged to the size I wanted to build. First was the keel then drew out the bulkheads, treble planked and so on.
