What is a running eye, just the end of a rope run through an eye at the other end? You can't imagine the pictures I got on Google.

Can you give some context regarding this running eye, including which line is involved? If this is in your kit instructions it may be a translation issue. The more information you can share the better, especially if you post some picturesWhat is a running eye
Sorry, I still think that some things are generic. Like a knot is a knot. Assuming this is a knot, of courseCan you give some context regarding this running eye, including which line is involved? That's about it Don, a spliced eye with it's own tail through it. Think of a main stay with the eye running up tight to the mouse. Is it possible that it is just kinda like a lasso around the bowsprit? I've never seen one of those used but a lasso could be described as a "running eye"
Thanks Jack. Do you think this one would have a mouse? Or at least something to keep it from choking up.That's about it Don, a spliced eye with it's own tail through it. Think of a main stay with the eye running up tight to the mouse.
Cheers JJ..

Don't know for sure Don, doubt it would be a mouse, but perhaps a wooden toggel,Thanks Jack. Do you think this one would have a mouse? Or at least something to keep it from choking up.
