I searched for the photos of the sails and found some examples which are showing the quality.

Here some examples and details for a set for the fregate La Belle Poule

It is a friend of a friend from Russia, who is producing complete sets if necessary......as I understood the production would need 4 to 6 weeks plus postage.
Due to the fact, that I do not have a direct contact, I have to go via a modeling friend from a german forum......maybe in future I will get a direct contact and can comunicate a web-page or e-mail.......If there is an interest send me a PM.

G'day Uwe
The sails looks great! What's the material? They looks kind of 'plasticish' with the shine on it. I'm not being critical, just curious mate.

The sail how you get them are shown on the first photos. It is some kind of silk, a very fine fabric.
On the photos showing the sails installed are weathered and stiffened, f.e. With wood-glue thinned with water. After drying they keep the form...... for me they look very realistic, looking like they are at the yard since half year sailing, sun and saltwater weathered them......

I agree with you. I want being critical at all. They are outstanding.

I got a great effect with sails when I built the Amphion. My mother who was a highly skilled seamstress made them for me. Not as good and detailed as these but still nice. I coated them with thinned white shellac to stiffen them and obtained a similar natural effect.

It is good to have specialists like your mother helping in special areas......
......could you show us some photos of your Amphion?

Sadly I gave it away many years ago when I moved from a large house to smaller house.
