San Bartolome, Pavel Nikitin 1:48

Finally put the boat together and painted it. It doesn't look as good as others on this site, but I did it! Need to mount the rudder and it will be finished.

It took me a month to finish this. This may be the last thing I build as I didn't really enjoy putting the boat together. Maybe that's why the paint didn't come out looking as good as others.

I had talked to Denis at Pavel's workshop and he is sending me the large scale drawings I didn't get with the kit of the bartolome. I had ordered Pavel's Santa Maria several months ago. It may finally be shipping in the next week or two. Getting kits together and shipped out must really be tough for them in a country that is at war.

I'm thinking when the Santa Maria comes in I may put it and the bartolome kits up for sale.

Bill... If you go to Pavel's website you will find a 'Contact' button to send them an email.

I've attached the 7 pages of large sheets that comes with the kit. Pathfinder65 had sent these to me. I contacted my local Staples and they would print the images on 2'x3' sheets for about $30. If you have a place in the Philippines that does print work it might be better to have them done locally. Getting a shipment from Ukraine is sort of hit/miss timing due to the war. Plus shipping costs could be about the same as having them printed locally. The only reason I didn't have my printed at Staples was Denis at Pavel's said he would put them in the box with the Santa Maria when he ships that kit.

Thank you very much! I still haven't started on the St. Bart but I am sure larger drawings will help my old eyes.
Sorry to hear you are thinking about giving up on ship building. The hobby needs good people sharing info.
