Shelk, while I admire your cleverly consistent weathering, I'm not convinced with your treatment of the shrouds. Stockholm tar would have penetrated the rope fibers, so your method for paintwork needs some thought when applied to the rope-work.
Flaking tar wouldn't leave the underlying material so pale.
Forgive me if I'm 'jumping the gun on this one as you may be intending to tone down the shrouds if and when you stain the ratlines.
Can't wait to see completion of what will be a unique model Thumbsup

That last pictures from the main mast shrouds are missing the stain and the pigments, have a look here
there's a few pictures of the foremast fully weathered and finished and there's a lot less contrast between the rope with and without tar
