Sardara of Catania
OK, isn´t a big ship, but float and it´s nice
It is a simple model, and in the book "Velle Italliane della Costa Occidentalle" by S. Bellabarba, I found models such as the Varca Ustinisa, the Sardara, Varca ri Conzu, Barche di Tonnara, and others. I selected the Sardara because it was one of the smallest and showed the hull frames. The first paragraph is taken from that book. "The boat is a Sardara of Catania. The slightly swept-back shape of the stern and the sickle-shaped profile of the bow gave it an unmistakable profile. A characteristic of this Sicilian vessel is the limited height of the side and the slight curvature toward the bow. The Sardara of Catania still exists in a good number of specimens, but today's boats are smaller than their counterparts from earlier periods."
