Scalpel Recommendations

I purchased a scalpel from Walmart that was absolutely terrible. The casting was completely solid where the blade is inserted and so un-useable.
Can someone recommend a good handle for a #11 scalpel blade?

I agree. Swann Morton are the sharpest that you’ll get. They are cheap on Ebay, buy a few packs of different types, they’re cheap enough to change regularly so you’ll always have a sharp one to hand

I always use Olfa style snap off blades. Select the 9 mm blades. Even better are the NT brand 30 degree ones. You can get the knife from GPM.pl and get either the SAC-1 , A-1 or the A-5 and youll never look back !
