Silly Laser Cut Parts Question

I’m sure that this is a silly question to experienced modelers but here goes. I’m starting on the Model Shipways Rattlesnake and it has laser cut parts. Is it necessary to remove the laser cut burnt edge when glueing? I understand the need if the parts are to be painted or stained, but not sure about interior parts such as bulkheads that will eventually planked over. I’ve sanded them but not necessarily entirely down to the natural wood and now am wondering if that’s even required. My first kit (Prince de Neufchatel) required scroll sawing all the parts so this never came up.

You will need to sand the dust off as minimum to ensure the glue is contacting real wood.

How much of the char depends on how much area you have to glue things together.

Others may have better comments on this.
