Hello Everybody,
After his arrival in Nizhne-Kamchatsk in 1728, Vitus Bering had the 18-meter-long expedition ship St. Gabriel built. With this ship he examined the coast of Siberia in a northerly direction from July 1728, discovered some islands and penetrated further and further into the Arctic Ocean without finding a land connection between Asia and America. Although he had already crossed the strait later named after him, he failed to provide the final proof that there is no land connection between Asia and North America. (Goggle Translator)

I bought this model from Master Korabel in 2019 at the Intermodellbau fair in Dortmund. I built the 1:72 scale model in 6 weeks.

Lenght: 350 mm
Width: 150 mm
Hight: 300 mm
