SPANISH GALLEON XVII. GALEON DEL AZOGUE [COMPLETED BUILD]

It is looking very good - very realistic drums, especially with the white numbers and marks written with chalk
-> Good organized I hope and enough rum and/or wine ?

This galleon is of the so-called "galleon of quicksilver". These galleons transported mercury (quicksilver), from the Almaden mines in Spain, to San Juan de Ulua (Mexico). Mercury was used to obtain gold and silver. They were galleons with some own characteristics, large, very fortified and with a special provision of the warehouse to transport the mercury

The galleys of quicksilver had a special configuration. They carried two special departments forward and aft of the mainmast for the transport of quicksilver. These departments were closed and separated with special sealing measures. In them the mercury was stowed under rigorous security measures. It was a very valuable burden
