Trying to get details and get her a smothered finish and after that try to get one more as close as possible to the other side.

On another model from NMM with Id:SLR0643 you can se on the port side the figure missing compared to starboard side.
I looks brutal really but it’s wood and can always be replaced.
I’m not expert in carving and try to get something acceptable for this model.
If you looking at the colorful backfiring of D whites anatomy of Diana you can se a shadow right to figure,I think it’s cutting out for the figure to get the position on the quarter pice.
My thoughts is,that in shipyards where they were built they have to replace things when they sailed home from a battle the have made quarter pieces of different types and sizes,some have relief carvings,others have figures carved,it should be easy to change and replace.
This models was often prototypes of the real ship and I think it’s not just the craftsman who made this work? It was how the build the real thing?
It should be quick and economic at the end of 18th century.
