Happy New Year to you all
My name is Carlo Cesani, I am not exactly a naval modeler, but I build 1:12 scale cannon models
My main source is the book "The Arming and Fitting of English Ship of War 1600-1815" by Bryan Lavery, where there is a detailed drawing of a cannon,
and the table with the dimensions of all the calibers and lengths
Happy New Year again
Carlo
P.S. excuse my English language

Ciao e Benvenuti in SoS

If you want to build other cannon, please feel free to send me a private message. I have 2D and 3D drawings of the six English patterns from about 1625 to the Blomefields, and some Spanish guns in various calibers and lengths that I can send to you. Take a look at the subject here at SoS. https://shipsofscale.com/sosforums/threads/making-cannon.14545/ If you want to learn more about English guns, Adrian Caruana's The History of English Sea Ordnance volumes 1 and 2 are the best volumes available, especially volume 2.

I noticed his interest in artillery; I am attaching a book where he will find a lot of information about the Armstrong cannons
I made some drawings in DWG of cannons, starting from drawings and dimensional tables taken from the book "The Arming and Fitting of English Ship of War 1600-1815", soon I will begin to publish them on the forum

The 1879 Treatise you posted has a wealth of information and I have downloaded the book, thank you. I looked in the index but could only find one mention of Armstrong guns which was on page 71. There is a drawing of a Blomefield on page 66, otherwise all the drawings and most of the charts are for guns in the second half of the 19th century and those are nicely detailed. I am PMing you some of the 100 DWG drawings that I have, including both Armstrong (1725-1759) and Armstrong Frederick (1760-1790). The attached chart may also be useful for your project as it has just over 100 guns from 1625 to about 1830 with dimensions in full size as well as various scales in both imperial and metric.
