I have just purchased the ARTESANIA LATINA SULTAN and I'm wondering why the boom on the model has nothing attached. Any Ideas?

I try to answer, but I am not 100% sure..... because I have not real big knowledge of this type of ship construction

First a photo of the AL Dhow Sultan, so everybody is understanding your question

I guess it is a sub-type of the arab Dhows, maybe the so called Baggala (english Baghlah), with two masts and the possibility to install an additional jib-sail

I agree. I think sometimes they attached a jib sail. I might do that. I think it would look better than a boom with nothing attached.
