the Colonial Schooner Hannah in 1/48 [COMPLETED BUILD]

Hello dear friends
Today I returned to work on the ship.
I prepared the bases for the mast of the ship. I glued the bases to the keel and later attached the front mast to the base that was installed.
You can view the photos that document the creation and assembly process.

Hello dear friends
Today I continued building grating of lattice on the In the upper deck and stern.
The process began with the formation of a kant on the board, cutting and grinding the boards at 45 degrees.

I then created the frames and later the lattice from two types of wood - poplar and fear and in different scales. Attaches for you pictures documenting the process and result that I like and complete them.

hello dear friends
today I focused on building the Bowsprit Timber, I I chose a lighter shade of cherry wood, to create a variety of color and textures. After gluing, I applied a polishing substance with the properties of an oil-repellent oil and pests. Attach photos, enjoy

Hello Shota, Just catching up on your Schooner Hannah. She is looking real good and your building skills have very much improved and this shows in your work. Please remember that building one of these ships is a very enjoyable hobby and not like a job at all. I see that you have acquired a very nice bunch of building tools, these will help you very much to get great results. All I ask is that you slow down just a bit, dry fit your parts many times, adjusting them a little at a time and you will even please your self very much, keep up the great work.
Regards Lawrence

Dear Lawrence
I really appreciate your compliments, and your smart advice, which I agree with.

hello dear friends
today I focused on building the companionway.
this time I used pear wood panels for the Inner frame and the roof, and a walnut wood panel for the design of the exterior panels.
I attach pictures documenting the creative process as well as the result, which I am quite satisfied with.

hello dear friends
today I focused on building the Galley Chimney .
First I cut a piece of 5/32" x 5/32" stock to a length of 3/4". Around the bottom, add a coaming like structure using1/16" x 5/32" stock and beveling the sides. Position the coaming 1/8" above the bottom of the chimney so that the chimney can be inserted into the hole in the deck.

later I Add a thin square top piece which made from 1/64" stock or , and Painted in black.

hello dear friends
today I've finished the construction of the Galley Chimney. I added a finish with a rounded slope (about a quarter circle), made of cherry wood.
after that I made the Elm Tree Pumps, there are two Pumps. The body of the pump is made from block of octagonal cherry wood, at the top 5 millimeters and at the bottom 3 millimeters. To the handle of the pump I added on my own at the end of a rounded finish and a light color also because it is much beautiful to my opinion.
Attaches photos from the result.

Looks good. On the real ships they used mostly cherry wood for the pumps. The structure of the grain makes a very smooth intern of the pump.

Hello my dear friends :):)
I am delighted to open a new log to document the ship building process.
Many of you are familiar with The Hannah
& The Practicum by Robert E. Hunt.
some of you have even built as documented on the site.
I have been asking for several years to develop and advance my ship's building capabilities from a made kit to Scratch or from plans.
I am happy to share that thanks to this site I got to know a dear man-stuglo, who agreed to meet with me and to invested a lot of his energy, knowledge and abilities Teach me this subject.
Today I started the first step , with the keel
of construction, of course I attach a few pictures

Well hello Shota70!
I cant believe its taken this long for me to come across your most beautiful Hannah. I just reviewed your log and WOW really well done so far. Your REDO efforts are admirable and well worth your effort. To me, those of you who do POF and scratch builds are at the top of the model world kingdom. Also HAPPY BIRTHDAY my friend! Your build is going on my watch list.
