I received as a gift from a friend a Bluenose II kit from Billings Boats. I built this model about 50 years ago and look forward to repeating this build. Like most I have a lot more time on my hands and patience at 77 years old.
The kit while unsealed and kind of scruffy looking (garage sale?) seems complete with plastic bags still sealed etc. I started on my journey. Well I didn't get far before total confusion set in. The first instruction referenced the false keel and frames. False Keel? Could not find it and had no idea what it looked like. Long story short, the instructions were for a model from Artesania Latins! Further study found that some parts represented parts I could identify - i.e. timber frames - and matched the parts on the plan sheet. But many did not.
Everything appears to be Billings Boat except the instructions! I'm pretty handy and can fabricate wooden parts with some confidence but am lost when the instructions don't match.
Is it possible to somehow acquire a set of instructions for my model kit? It's BB Bluenose 576. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
