Yes, of course, it's the La Couronne, built from the Mantua 1:98 kit by an overly bold, I'd say very brash newbie (just about 5 years), who decided that after building couple models, he could realize his long-held dream and tackle the very sophisticated La Couronne.
I spend 1 year working 2-3 hours average several days per week. During construction, I realized that this is a very complex model, and some parts of the ship are simply beyond my capabilities. There are many spots of the differences and flaws either intentional or due to inexperience. Of course, experienced builders will add some more. That’s why I call “like La Couronne”. But the ship is stunningly beautiful, and this model together with the Royal Carolina and Black Pearl has greatly beautified my home. It was a risk, but I'm not too disappointed with the result.
Many thanks DARIVS ARCHITECTVS and majq from model ship world – their logs greatly help me built my model.
