This is a very sad episode in Western Australia recently

It looks awful. I’m aware that no one was hurt but am wondering about the hull. Was that damaged?
 
I looked at some images from local news in Fremantle ... the bow of that containership must have raked over het decks, I think. Otherwise the hull would have been flattened. Man, what a damage. And two crew were on board and had non threatening injuries. But must have been shocked.

That's going to be a serious repair and re-jig effort.

A very sad day for all of us tall ship lovers, not just Western Australia, although I understand the closeness to them as well. I guess that's the job of ship-builders, to create beautiful, strong and seaworthy vessels from a tangle of wood and rope.
