Those who have used a JimSaw (Brynes Model Machines Table Saw) to make deck gratings, what was your preferred method?

I'm currently debating using the existing sled and mounting something to the near side or using a miter bar and making my own sled. My problem is I don't have a lot of non-ship model wood at my disposal.

1. About 10 years ago there was an extensive article in the NRJ covering every aspect of using the Burns saw to make gratings at any scale.
2. I would suggest reading this article to get some basic ideas that you can use in your particular setup. Making gratings is really simple once you "get-the-hang-of-it". I have a box full of "blanks" that I draw upon as needed.
3. Once you make your basic setup for any scale, you can make enough "blanks" to make a lifetime's worth of gratings in an hour. A blank is just a "large untrimmed grating cut piece of wood" that can be finished to fit any opening.
