Titanic MK1 Ka Vs Pontos

Hi Guys,

I'm really keen to get started on my Trumpeter Titanic, but really want to buy a detail set before i get stuck in.

I've been looking at the MK1 KA and the Pontos sets, have any of you any views on which one would be the better option, i've seen a few people use both but that's a bit (a lot actually) out of my price range.

Or maybe you know of something even better out there that i should consider.

If you're on Facebook, there's a group there specifically for the Trumpeter TITANIC...tons of information on builds, inaccuracies of the kit, as well as third-party add-ons.

Having both detail sets, I am leaning towards the KA set. It is more expensive however, the 3D parts are the tipping point in favor of it. See the Midwest Modeler You Tube Titanic build #2 for a direct comparison of the steam winches.(
