Trumpeter 1/32 Fairey Swordfish Mk1

Excellent weathering. Did you find photos to show where the grubby oil streaks should go. Hard to pull off realism with washes, but you surely have set a new standard in realism.

Well done!

Hi Jim, thanks very much for your kind comments!! I knew very little about the Swordfish until I started building one...as a result I did a lot of research to try to get it 'right' This did indeed meant that I spent a lot of time looking at photographs!

Fantastic attention to detail! Great work. I made this model myself many years ago, and was thinking of giving it another go. This has certainly inspired me.
Thanks so much for your comment clogger!! I'm pleased the model gave you a little inspiration!!

Here is my completed 1/32 Swordfish which was detailed and painted using Tamiya XF's and weathered with a Flory wash and pastels. The kits rigging proved to be nigh on impossible for me to use (builders error I think!) and so I replaced it with stainless steel wire. Happy to answer any questions you may have,
Cheers.

A truly lovely piece of work! It's so realistic. I know a Swordfish is a good size in 32 scale but still. I really like the metal exhaust ring shading. Very hard to do and get right. Again, great job!
