I bought the heller 1/100 HMS victory about 5 years ago and found the instructions so confusing that I didn't even try to start building it. Now I'm not a novice at building these plastic models as I have already built the Cutty Sark and the Constitution both of the same scale. Recently I found out that Heller had published a "new improved version" of the original instructions, so I bought one. Well, all I can say is WOW what an improvement! I'm ready to give it a go!!!!! I'm hoping that someone here can help me through the tight spots. I'm 73 years old and have mid stage Parkinsons Disease and this project is No1 on my bucket list. One example is: how to paint the upper deck, so it looks like the photos?

Thanks
John

I didn't think that acrylic and enamel paints would work together? Do they adhere to each other well?

What Corsair said. After using the enamel you can use a technique called 'colour washing' using a very thin (emphasis on VERY) and darker acrylic - there are some excellent videos on YouTube which will help you - search 'colour washing models'. Personal tip - using a hair dryer to dry the colour wash helps greatly.
