Here is my build of the Model Expo kit in 1:24 scale. Other than the base, I built it straight from the box. I cut the base out of African Mahogany on my CNC machine. I spent 105 hours on this model. Hope you enjoy.

I don't believe I've seen this model Mike. Another beautiful job, especially with the paint job. I bought that kit a few years ago but lost interest in it and ended up selling it to someone. Now I kind of wish I had kept it and built it. It's different and has some nice details on it.

Thanks Bob. I just finished it last month. It begs for extra detailing. I think there is a build log here of another one with some nice detailing.

I'll have to look for that log. I can't imagine what additional details can be added but I'm very interested in that.

I'm Building one at the moment, close to being finished.
But I have not taken any build pics, but I'll post the boat anyway at some time.
And your's looks very nice mrshanks.

Unfortunately mrsshanks (Mike Shanks) left the forum. He is a great ship modeler and designer. If you have any question(s) for him, please let me know and I will forward it to him. He helped me to built the Marmara, that was when we meet. Many in the forum, as well as myself, keep a close contact with him. If you search HMY FUBBS, that is a model developed by him together with a great group of SOS modelers, A few are being built now at SOS.

Again, do not hesitate to post here any question you could have about this model. And I hope to see pictures of yours.
