USS Constitution 1:70 Scratch

I've started building the fighting tops, which are quite detailed. I began with the main mast top and, if I'm not mistaken, I've already prepared and assembled 57 pieces for it so far. I'm not sure how many more will be needed. :)

Mustafa, those fighting tops look great! For an interesting read, check out The Constitution Fighting Top at The Naval History and Heritage Command. One does not fully comprehend the size and bulk of these platforms until you see some of the photos and realize that the fore top alone weighed more than 15,000 lbs!

Yes, Russ, I was surprised when I saw on the plans for the USS Constitution that the main top was 21 feet wide. They are truly massive structures.
