Dear modelers,

I would like to share with you informations about our new product. We started to make accessories set with
Stern especially designed for USS Constitution in scale 1:96 (especially for Revell model kit). The stern design corresponds to appearance of the stern from 1812 (War of Independence) according to the information from book: "The 44-Gun Frigate USS Constitution" by K. H. Marquardt.

Set contains resin castings of the stern, the hatches of the two lower gunports, Davids - the lifeboat davit arms and the photo-etched windows. The resin castings fit exactly to the model kit of Revell and increase its realistic appearence. You can see attached photos of the the set below. And if you like you can also buy this set on our e-shop HERE.

PS: The photo-etched windows are now separated so you can fit them into the resin casting more precisely.;)

It has been said, separately, that history is written by the victors . . . or is that the last kit designer/producer? ;)Rich without criticism as improvements are always welcome ;)

In the book mentioned above (The 44-Gun Frigate USS Constitution by K. H. Marquardt) they made research and tried to determine the shape of the stern from 1812 based on contemporary paintings of the ship. Obviously paintings are not photos and they usually focus on a ship as a whole so there were some possible "variants" and we dont know 100%. However, what we have is definitelly more close to reality then the original stern of the Revell kit.
