Victory? new Member

Hello, Steve. What kind of opinions you are looking for? Unfortunately, the picture is too small and has only one view. I think, your grandpa did a great job building this ship. You should be very proud of your Granpa! Are you planning to finish up his work?

I hope someone is around to pick up one of mine someday. I’m in it for the long haul now and I’m quite sure I’ll leave something unfinished.

No grandkids yet, but trying to peak my college grad daughter’s interest in my hobby.

I think it's great - far better than I could do. You going to finish it off?

It was actually done by my father-in-law

he passed ten years ago.
It was in the closet for years, I’m trying to downsize

any suggestions about sale?

thanks!

Wow Steve, that looks like a masterpiece in need of some TLC, mostly in the rigging department. Looks like he even coppered the hull. If it's not a project you want to take on, I'm sure you could find someone who would. It would be interesting to know more about the history of the build--it looks like there are some kitset (Mantua?) pieces--e.g., the guns and gunport frames and the bow fittings. Do you have pics of the stern?
