Drakkar. Plans from - The Art of Age of Sail.
Will build it with modern tools (what is actually wrong, but i don have that much time to do it in old ways methods)

I have started it this spring.
Decoration will be fully replaced with my own style.
Some of the details will be also replaced with with more authentic (with my opinion).

Im not sure if i can post original drawings even in low resolution but you can find it easily on pinterest or google.com

This plans are not representing any historical ship (as i understood). Its somewhere between Gokstad longship and Oseberg ship (as i see it).

Ship will be a bit longer than 1 meter (118cm)

I built the Osborg years ago. I discarded all the plastic parts and used redwood for the shields and figure head. I love the way you used a cad laser to up size the scale. Beautiful job.
Thank you.

I did the same with Oseberg (Billing Boats).
Replaced all plastic parts, Stering oar, Shields, Ropes, added nails etc...

Every model of Viking ship I've seen has the crew's shields mounted on the gunwales, BUT no crew. Surely, they being warriors, would not leave the ship without them?
Ithwre isa lot of models with crew. On pinterest you can easily find it.
But then i will have to stick to size of crew

The Andrea ship looks incredible but I'm more impressed by the work on the crew. The expressions, painting, and attention to minor details really give the ship a different feel.
