Week End Projects.

My nine-year-old grandson Owen ask me if I could help him make a knife out of wood I agreed to help him and ask if he had a photo of the kind of knife he wanted to make, he brought me a photo of a Japanese sword. After his mother approved the project I scanned the sword photo and imported the file into AutoCAD and made some patterns. We spent about six hours making the sword and it will take a couple of hours to make the display shelf.

Your sword is most properly called The wakizashi and has a blade between 30 and 60 cm (12 and 24 in).

I like it. I have been Forging steel into Knives for the past 5 years during the winter so anything Knife, Sword related is gonna get a thumbs up from me.
