I am scratch building the revenue cutter Morris from the plans in Chapelle. The deck plan shown below indicates a "navel" on either side of the foremast. I have never seen this term before and have been unable to find a definition. Does anyone know what this is and what it should lookl like? Thanks.

I saw one definition that said center. Don’t know what it means. Center of lateral resistance??? Dunno

I wish I had the computer skills to create images of a ship's deck like those in the Dreadful Wale. A lot of research and work went into it and the results were quite impressive. I did note that the deck equipment followed very closely the drawings posted by Waldemar.
