This is something I noticed when I compared what revell did, I noticed the tower corresponded more with what was on the original drawing on the typ IX/C40, the U190 tower being different.

I don't think the correction would be that hard to scratch but I'm wonder why did the german choosed to change it.
Thankks for your answers!

Just saw this on “Sea Power” - submarines. Apparently, as WWII progressed, the German submarines also developed into more lethal weapons. Since most of the submarines actual running time was on the surface (battery running time was very short), and most of the sub losses were due to shell firings from surface ships, the conning tower would give away the sub’s location. Having a lower conning tower would reduce the distance at which the submarine was visible. Electronic surveillance had not come close to modern day technology. As the war progressed, Allied protection improved and submarine losses increased. Reducing a sub’s visibility was seen as a great improvement.

Thanks, I intend to correct the tower since it's the U505 one (I think one can expect revell to release a 1/144 U505 at some point in the future).
